· Offering several competition categories
· Prizes for winners and for the top fundraiser
First, take a look at our Birdathon FAQ, then read the Birdathon Rules. Find at least one friend to join you in the field, pick a team name, and register individually via the "Birdathon registration" button. Your registration will include dinner.
Birdathon participants get free admission (normally $25) to the Friends of Whitefish Point owl banding station on May 16 & 17. Note that the number of spots available is limited, so you must pre-register using the link you'll receive after signing up for Birdathon.
Not doing Birdathon but still want to join the fun? EVERYONE is invited to our celebration dinner ($25, provided by Ebbys Catering) and gathering, which will feature a presentation from Alison Vilag about a brand new hawk research program on the Keweenaw's rugged, remote Manitou Island, as well as the opportunity to hear the day’s highlights from our Birdathon teams. Just click "register for dinner." (If you're a Birdathon participant, dinner is included with your registration).
We are excited to have a fun, inclusive birding event for our friends that will persist from year to year. We look forward to the birds we'll find, sharing the day with the birding community, and the support we'll raise to continue the vital work of Friends of Whitefish Point.
