    Join Chris Neri and Nova Mackentley for an engaging presentation about the owl research they are conducting at Whitefish Point, MI. As founders of the new non-profit Friends of Whitefish Point and over 25 years of experience banding migrating owls, they will share captivating stories and valuable insights into the trends of these nocturnal raptors in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

    Nova Mackentley & Chris Neri are founding members of the Friends of Whitefish Point. They will present updated information about their work with Snowy Owls in the UP of Michigan. As part of the Project Snowstorm team, they are investigating the wintering movements of these captivating owls to better understand their ecology. You will also learn more about the migration monitoring work being done at Whitefish Point during the spring, summer and fall, where up to eight different species of owls that migrate through the area are banded annually by the Friends of Whitefish Point.
